SIDE TRIP by Kerry Lonsdale – GIVEAWAY CLOSED *

Kerry Lonsdale’s new novel, SIDE TRIP (LakeUnionPublishing) takes us on a road trip of love, life and loss along Route 66.

With her deceased sister’s Route 66 bucket list in hand, California girl Joy Evers sets out on a cross-country road trip to meet up with her fiancé, checking off the bullets along the way.

Singer-songwriter Dylan Westfield has a serious case of wanderlust and a broken-down car. Stuck at a diner between LA and Flagstaff, he meets Joy, his complete opposite. She’s energetic. He’s moody. She’s by the book. He’s spontaneous. She believes in love at first sight. He thinks love is a complicated mess. But Joy has a brand-new convertible.

They strike a deal. She’ll drive him to New York. He’ll pay for gas. Only three rules apply: no exchanging of last names; what happens on the road, stays on the road; and if one of them wants to take a side trip, they both must agree.

A stand-alone which won’t disappoint Lonsdale’s fan …. maybe bring some new ones into the flock. Sit down, pour a glass of chilled savignon blanc and have a fun read.

Kerry is a Wall Street JournalWashington Post, Amazon Charts, and #1 Kindle bestselling author. She’s also one of the top 100 Kindle authors of all time according to EBook Friendly. She’s not sure how they came up with that list, but she’s on it. Go figure.

Kerry writes standalone and series based emotionally charged domestic drama that readers have described as “unputdownable” and “intricately plotted.” Summer afternoon soaps, nighttime thriller dramas, and the deliciously scandalous novels she kept hidden in her school backpack under a smashed half-eaten pb&j, fueled her bold imagination. She’s been constructing tales since she could wield a #2 stick of lead. Packed with mystery, suspense, and romance, her stories appeal to a wide, international audience and have been translated into twenty-six languages. She’s obsessed with the covers of her foreign editions and celebrates them on #TranslationThursday on her Facebook page.

Co-founder of the Women’s Fiction Writers Association, Kerry resides in Northern California with her husband and teen kids where she spends her mornings writing and afternoons herding cats, literally. Scroll down. The cats are probably in her Instagram feed. Her mind is twisted, but her heart is bright, and she loves her readers, so she created the perfect spot to hang out: the Tiki Lounge. She’d love for you to join her there.

Thanks to Kathleen Carter Communications we have one copy to giveaway. Just tell us your most favorite road trip book. We’ll announce a winner soon. Good luck.

  1. I don’t think I’ve read many road trip books. I really enjoyed Where the Lost Wander by Amy Harmon. It’s a historical fiction novel about traveling across the country along the Oregon Trail.

  3. This book sounds like a fun book and like a good page turner! My most favorite Road Trip was with my 2 younger sisters, we went on a fun road trip last year. We went on our road trip about 2 months after our mom had passed away, we needed to get away for awhile and we had a lot of fun.

  4. I don’t know that I’ve ever read a book about a road trip. I personally LOVE taking road trips though! And I prefer doing them by myself, it’s much more fun that way.
