I’m sure you’re one of the thousands who read and turned THE HUNTING PARTY into a bestselling book. Now Lucy Foley comes with her follow-up, THE GUEST LIST….. All I can say is there are certain clubs you don’t want to belong to and lists you’d rather be left off.

But I’m sure Lucy is excited THE GUEST LIST has been chosen by Reese Witherspoon for her latest book club list.

The bride ‧ The plus one ‧ The best man ‧ The wedding planner ‧ The bridesmaid ‧ The body

On an island off the coast of Ireland, guests gather to celebrate two people joining their lives together as one. The groom: handsome and charming, a rising television star. The bride: smart and ambitious, a magazine publisher. It’s a wedding for a magazine, or for a celebrity: the designer dress, the remote location, the luxe party favors, the boutique whiskey. The cell phone service may be spotty and the waves may be rough, but every detail has been expertly planned and will be expertly executed.

But perfection is for plans, and people are all too human. As the champagne is popped and the festivities begin, resentments and petty jealousies begin to mingle with the reminiscences and well wishes. The groomsmen begin the drinking game from their school days. The bridesmaid not-so-accidentally ruins her dress. The bride’s oldest (male) friend gives an uncomfortably caring toast.

And then someone turns up dead. Who didn’t wish the happy couple well? And perhaps more important, why?

  3. I don’t enjoy much about weddings, but I do love when there are cute antics by the flower girl or ring bearer. My daughter was a flower girl for my brother, and after walking up the aisle, she wrapped her arms around his legs at the altar and wouldn’t let go! My dad had to pull her off. LOL

  4. Everyone watches the bride come down the aisle, but I like to watch the groom’s smile as he sees his bride coming to meet him.

  5. I love seeing the bride in her gown walking down the aisle. Weddings make me cry. I want to cry anytime I hear the wedding march or pomp and circumstance. I love seeing the cakes and how beautiful they are.
