THE GRAY MAN by Mark Greaney – Spotlight & Giveaway

A couple of weeks ago, I told you about Mark Greaney’s new novel, ONE MINUTE OUT (Berkley). The protagonist is called the GRAY MAN, a.k.a Courtland “Court” Gentry. He’s an exciting combination of Jason Bourne and Jack Ryan. He’s the assassin you just love to love. I enjoyed ONE MINUTE OUT so much I had to go back and read Greaney’s first book, introducing the GRAY MAN.

The Gray Man was first introduced in 2009 in the novel, THE GRAY MAN. I flipped through that novel in record time. Talk about action… It’s like a gun has been shot and you keep reading until the last page.

Don’t believe me? This is what Lee Child has to say.
“Hard, fast, and unflinching—exactly what a thriller should be.”—Lee Child

To those who lurk in the shadows, he’s known as the Gray Man. He is a legend in the covert realm, moving silently from job to job, accomplishing the impossible and then fading away. And he always hits his target. Always.

But there are forces more lethal than Gentry in the world. Forces like money. And power. And there are men who hold these as the only currency worth fighting for. And in their eyes, Gentry has just outlived his usefulness.

But Court Gentry is going to prove that, for him, there’s no gray area between killing for a living and killing to stay alive…

A feature film adaptation of THE GRAY MAN is in development at Sony Pictures. It can’t be produced fast enough.

Mark Greaney’s debut international thriller, THE GRAY MAN, was published in 2009 and became a national bestseller and a highly sought-after Hollywood property.

Seven subsequent Gray Man novels have been released to date, including MISSION CRITICAL.

Mark is also the #1 New York Times bestselling author or coauthor of seven Tom Clancy novels, including his most recent TOM CLANCY TRUE FAITH AND ALLEGIANCE. He collaborated with Tom Clancy on three Jack Ryan novels before Tom’s death in 2013.

On July 16th, 2019, RED METAL, a military thriller written by Mark Greaney and Lt Col Hunter R. Rawlings, USMC, was an instant New York Times bestseller.

Mark’s books are published in several languages and are also available as audiobooks.

Mark has a degree in International Relations and Political Science. In his research for the Gray Man and Jack Ryan novels he has traveled to dozens of countries, visited the Pentagon, military bases, and many Washington, D.C. Intelligence agencies, and trained alongside military and law enforcement in the use of firearms, battlefield medicine, and close-range combative tactics.

Mark lives in Memphis, Tennessee with his two Catahoula Leopard dogs, Lobo and Ziggy.

Thanks to Berkley we have one copy to giveaway. Just tell us what you LOVE about special-ops thrillers… I like the whole good versus evil government angle thing. We’ll announce a winner soon. Good luck.

  1. I love reading about special-ops because they are specially trained, highly skilled, never back down, and always get the job done! Thank you for doing this Giveaway, especially now when everyone is shut in, scared and vulnerable.

  2. I love the ‘holding on to the edge of my seat’ intensity of special ops stories. And usually I learn something different in every book I read about special ops as well.

  3. I like that they are a little out of my norm for reading, so they surprise me and make me really focus on the story. Plus it’s amazing what plots people can write. Thanks for doing this while we are all shut in!
