Roz Nay’s debut novel OUR LITTLE SECRET (St.MartinsPress) is a compulsive psychological thriller about love and obsession. It’s about the secrets we keep and share.

Angela is being held in a police interrogation room. Her ex’s wife has gone missing and Detective Novak is sure Angela knows something, despite her claim that she’s not involved.

At Novak’s prodding, Angela tells a story going back ten years, explaining how she met and fell in love with her high school friend, HP. But as her past unfolds, she reveals a disconcerting love triangle and a dark, tangled web of betrayals. Is Angela a scorned ex-lover with criminal intent? Or a pawn in someone else’s revenge scheme? Who is she protecting? And why?

I’m at about my limit of reading thrillers, but OUR LITTLE SECRET iss different. I appreciated Roz Nay’s fresh voice and her clever manipulation of the characters, and we readers. OUR LITTLE SECRET is tight, fresh and a new voice I expect to hear a lot from in the future.

Roz Nay grew up in England and studied at Oxford University. She has been published in The Antigonish Review and the anthology Refuge. Roz has worked as an underwater fish counter in Africa, a snowboard videographer in Vermont, and a high school teacher in both the UK and Australia. She now lives in British Columbia, Canada, with her husband and two children. Our Little Secret is her first novel. Follow her on Twitter @roznay1 and on Facebook.com/roznay1.

  1. Oh boy! Not much about me is a secret. I guess once I had a terrible hoss. Let’s just say I got back at him. Nothing illegal, but something that I knew would drive him crazy.

  2. I am able to read almost all day because I’m bedridden due to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. My secret is that I also have Morgellons; a disease just recently recognized by the US Center of Diseases. I’ve always wondered if all this new technology and the electromagnetic waves in our environment had anything to do with CFS. It turns out that they probably have everything to do with who gets Morgellons! We’re allergic to our environment and attract carbon particles on dust and lint to invade our skin!! Talk about science fiction come to real life!!

  3. If I told you it wouldn’t be a secret anymore, would it? 😉 I found your comment that you are about at your limiting reading thrillers interesting. I’m not quite there yet but am getting just a little weary of unreliable narrators. And I suddenly woke up one day and decided I had had my fill of cozies. I suspect it will cycle around though.

  4. Not really a secret but here goes. My husband proposed to me 3 times and I turned him down all three times! The 4th time worked. We have been married 40 years! He loves telling this story to everyone!

  5. I have actually say here for a couple minutes and can’t think of a secret about myself. Pretty transparent, I guess. One thing that isn’t a secret – I’d love to read this book! 😉

  6. Quirky I know, but I keep Vicks Vaporub on my nightstand. Every night before I go to sleep I sniff it to open my sinuses. I love the smell of it.

  7. I prefer time at home with my partner and our cat, Torbie. We do go out but get easily tired of politics. We are really conservative in a not so conservative town. At home we pick shows to watch and both of us are big readers. He’s the best.

  8. Most people don’t know that I went to the Harley-Davidson Training Center in Kansas for a year. Thanks for the chance 💙

  9. I almost joined the Air Force after high school. I took all the tests and they said I could do anything I wanted except mechanic. 😂
