Can you hide a secret with the whole world watching?
When an explosion rips through a Chicago building in Catherine McKenzie’s entertaining and compelling new novel, THE GOOD LIAR (LakeUnionPublishing), the lives of three women are forever changed.
A year later, Cecily is still in mourning. She was supposed to be in the building that day. Instead, she stood on the street and watched it go down, with her husband and best friend inside. Kate’s now living thousands of miles away, hoping her past won’t catch up with her. Franny, a young woman in search of her birth mother, watched the horror unfold on the morning news, just knowing that the woman she was so desperate to reconnect with was in the building.
The anniversary of Triple Ten, which the disaster is called because of the date it happened, dominates the media. The memories of that terrifying morning become dangerous triggers to Cecily, Kate and Franny. In addition, all of these women are guarding important secrets. Just how far will they go to keep them?
Once again Catherine serves up secrets, lies and betrayal. THE GOOD LIAR is full of twists and turns that will keep readers turning pages. This is one of the best psychological thrillers I’ve read so far this year. THE GOOD LIAR will be published tomorrow, April 3rd.
