It’s Christmas day! YAY! Have you opened your presents? For those of you who go, how was Christmas Eve service or Mass? Are you already in the kitchen? Maybe taking a break from cooking? We continue to feature our favorite authors today with someone new to the publishing scene.

Recently we fell in love with debut author, Aimee Brown and her book, LITTLE GRAY DRESS. It’s a delicious play on the idea of LBDs (Little Black Dresses), which all of us have at least one or two in every size in our closet …. at least I do. (yoyo dieting) Perfect for any event anytime! Turns out the LGD is just as versatile.gray

Aimee Brown is a writer and an avid reader. LITTLE GRAY DRESS is her first published novel. She spends much of her time writing, raising three teenagers, binge watching shows on Netflix and obsessively cleaning and redecorating her house. She’s fluent in sarcasm and has been known to utter profanities like she’s competing for a medal.

Aimee grew up in Oregon but is now a transplant living in cold Montana with her husband of twenty years, three teenage children, and far too many pets.

We wanted to find out a little bit about how Aimee enjoys the Holidays and here’s what we found out.

CR: What is your favorite Holiday?

AB: Christmas! I just love the decorations, fun, the Christmas-y atmosphere and in Montana, we have loads of snow from Thanksgiving to Valentine’s Day. But a White Christmas is always fun.

CR: What is the favorite gift you’ve given?

AB: I’ll never forget my daughter’s face when she opened a new electric guitar she didn’t think she was getting. I love giving a gift that is something I know the recipient will love, whether it’s big or small and I try to put as much thought into what they’d like, as possible. I usually can’t think of just one thing!

CR: Favorite gift you’ve received?

AB: I had a baby December 6th 2003, that was a pretty good early Christmas to myself.

CR: Favorite holiday music?

AB: Anything ratpack era, Sinatra, Bing Crosby, all the greats of the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s will play at my house.

CR: Favorite Holiday meal and/or dessert?

AB Thanksgiving for sure. We always do turkey, mashed potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, stuffing, rolls, green bean casserole, everything homemade by MOI! It’s because we live 600 miles from family. I just love it! The smells, family, the sugar! LOL

CR: What is your message/wishes for 2018?

AB: I wish you all happiness in 2018, may you succeed in everything you attempt.

Nice. Thank you, Aimee.

  1. My wish or message for 2018 is do small acts of kindness. Let someone take that parking space, come in front in line, hold the door, check in with people. It’s just that simple.
