GREETINGS TO ALL “THOUGHTS ON THIS ‘n THAT” BLOG FOLLOWERS!
The HOLIDAYS are here and we’re doing something a little different. Over the next few weeks, we’re featuring some of our favorite authors and finding out what they like best about the HOLIDAYS. We’ll also find out what their latest book project is.
Today we’re visiting with author, Tracie Banister. We’ve enjoyed her “sexy, sophisticated, humorous fiction for women.” In TWIN PIQUES, we’ve enjoyed meeting forensic accountant, Sloan Tobin and her kooky twin sister, pet psychic Willa. IN NEED of THERAPY took us to Miami and we all received sage words of advice from psychologist, Pilar Alvarez. BLAME IT ON THE FAME introduced us to a bunch of bitchin’ characters walking the red carpet all hoping to win their Academy Award, at any cost!
In MIXING IT UP, we head into the kitchen with Manhattan upper-cruster, Cecily Sinclair and her fancy French cooking show, “Serving Romance.” New Management teams her up with a loathsome blast from her past. Will the new recipe be a tasty combination?
Next month, Tracie takes us back to Miami in, IZZY AS IS, where it’s sizzling in the middle of winter in her new novel.
FYI: Right now Tracie is part of the HOLLY JOLLY CHICK LIT HOP …. Hop on over for your chance to win fun chick lit books from lots of your favorite authors.
Tracie shared some of what she’s excited about this Holiday season.
CR: What is your favorite Holiday?
TB: I am an absolute freak for Christmas! I spend all of November and December shopping for and wrapping gifts, sending out holiday cards, jamming out to Christmas tunes, and watching every single holiday-themed movie Hallmark, Lifetime, UP and ION air.
CR: Favorite present you’ve ever given?
TB: My brother is almost impossible to buy for and doesn’t get excited about anything, so I always have my work cut out for me with him at Christmastime. A few years back I took a chance on buying him a Keurig K-cup coffee maker. (I thought it would make his life easier if he didn’t have to stop at Starbucks to pick up his coffee on his work every morning.) And lo and behold, he liked it, he really liked it. I smell freshly brewed coffee every time I go to his place now. I was so thrilled to have gotten him something he actually uses and enjoys!
CR: Favorite present you’ve received?
TB: I’d have to say my first Kindle (the original Fire tablet) six years ago was a game-changer. I resisted giving up real books for years, but once I had that Fire, I instantly fell in love with how easy and efficient the device was.I spend less money on books now and I don’t have stacks of them cluttering up my shelves anymore.
CR: Favorite holiday music?
TB: I like crooners at Christmastime. So, holiday CDs by Bruno Mars, Harry Connick, and Barry Manilow are on constant rotation at my house.
CR: Favorite Holiday meal and/or dessert?
TB: My family has the same meal every Thanksgiving and Christmas: roasted turkey with gravy and cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, and rolls. I’m the Queen of Starches, so I make the stuffing and potatoes (I try different variations of these very year).
CR: Message/wishes for 2018?
TB: Wishing you lots of light and laughter in the coming year. I am so grateful for the continued support and encouragement given to me by readers, book bloggers and my fellow authors. I hope y’all grab a copy of my net book, IZZY AS IS when it’s released on January 24th. It’s guaranteed to brighten the cold, dreary days of winter.
Thanks, Tracie. Here’s something to look forward to. We’re going to do a giveaway of Tracie’s new novel, IZZY AS IS on publication day, January 24th. So make sure you put that on your calendar!
