Whitney’s own words:
I love to write books for all women. Hollywood tends to portray leading ladies as a size 4 and under. Anyone over that magical number gets cast into the role of “fat friend.” Well, I think that’s a load of hooey!
I spent most of my adult life as a plus-size model, ranging anywhere from a size 12 to a 16. I’ve always been the star of my own story and have done my best to play second fiddle to no one.
My heroines wear double digits, and even when they struggle with identity issues, they’re no less appealing for it. Women come in all shapes and sizes. There’s no perfect model out there.
My books are for all you real women whether you’re a size 2, 12, or 22. Whether you’re trying to gain weight, lose weight, or just trying to maintain the status quo. Every one of us is looking for a happy ending.

Her third chick-lit book, Mimi Plus Two, was a finalist in the Reader’s Favorite Awards and a Runner-Up at the London Book Festival.
