Will Pip’s new “Spirit Helper,” Bertram, be able to set her on the course for true love with a message for Richard?

Matchmaking, misunderstandings, and mayhem abound in this fast-paced romantic comedy about love, life, and the afterlife!

KINDRED SPIRITS is a delightful romp and the perfect Holiday gift idea for girlfriends. It’s not too early to start crossing off the names on your “to buy list.”

Whitney’s own words:

I love to write books for all women. Hollywood tends to portray leading ladies as a size 4 and under. Anyone over that magical number gets cast into the role of “fat friend.” Well, I think that’s a load of hooey!

I spent most of my adult life as a plus-size model, ranging anywhere from a size 12 to a 16. I’ve always been the star of my own story and have done my best to play second fiddle to no one.

My heroines wear double digits, and even when they struggle with identity issues, they’re no less appealing for it. Women come in all shapes and sizes. There’s no perfect model out there.

My books are for all you real women whether you’re a size 2, 12, or 22. Whether you’re trying to gain weight, lose weight, or just trying to maintain the status quo. Every one of us is looking for a happy ending.

Her first romantic comedy, She Sins at Midnight, won a silver medal in the 2015 Reader’s Favorite awards. Her second, The Reinvention of Mimi Finnegan, is a finalist in the 2016 RONE Awards, won a silver medal at the 2016 Reader’s Favorite Awards and won Honorable Mention at the London Book Festival. Her third chick-lit book, Mimi Plus Two, was a finalist in the Reader’s Favorite Awards and a Runner-Up at the London Book Festival.

Whitney’s first humorous memoir, Motherhood Martyrdom & Costco Runs, won a gold medal at the 2017 Readers’ Favorite Awards.

In addition to her love of chick-lit, Whitney has also written a series of adventure books for middle readers. The first two books in her series, Wilhelmina and the Willamette Wig Factory and Who the Heck is Harvey Stingle?, are both available now. Book three, Beware of the Basement, is still in the publishing phase.

Whitney and her husband, Jimmy, have relocated to the beautiful Pacific Northwest to raise their children, chickens, and organic vegetables.

We’re lucky to have one copy of Whitney’s new novel, KINDRED SPIRITS to giveaway. Just tell us who your kindred spirit is and why? Good luck.

  1. My kindred spirit is my friend Suzy. When we started to work together in the same office, soon we were finishing each other’s sentences. We hold the same values and the same ideals as to what’s “classy” and what’s not!

  4. My sister Kymm. We are so much alike it’s uncanny. My daughter recently wed and my sister and I picked the same dress to wear. Hers was a different color and she lives in another state. Hows that for kindred spirits! Wish we lived closer!
